Friday Funnies!

I loved this show as a kid. So much so, that during the school year, I used to watch it twice a day.  And in the summertime, I bumped it up to three times a day.  Pathetic, I know, but I have no shame because it was a damn good show.  And anyway, I was like, twelve in those days and I had nothing better to do.

Given the rather bizarre times that we find ourselves living in, it is important to practice a little self-care. And that includes laughter.  Lots of laughter. I don't think that there is a better place to start than with the "Golden Girls."

At first when I watched this, I wondered if some of the jokes at Blanche's expense could be considered "slut shaming" in today's day and age. But the thing is, Blanche had no qualms about being a "slut." She was the original Amber Ros--as it were.  She was beautiful, loved sex and was unabashedly unashamed of being sexy. We should all aspire to be so real.
